The aims of the conference are many, though primary amongst them are:
- To facilitate the networking of Muslim organisations by providing them a shared platform to come together;
- To encourage and facilitate dialogue and discussion between numerous Faith groups by inviting respected representatives and scholars of other religious communities to speak;
- To build bridges between local authorities and the Muslim community via engagement (including police and government).
The AIPC seeks to fulfil these noble aims by organising numerous events over a day long period. These events cater for all facets of the Muslim community, as well as serving to foster relations between different faith groups and local and national authorities. Representatives of numerous key bodies are invited, including representatives of key faith groups, Victoria Police and Federal Police, council members as well as ambassadors from numerous countries.
